What is a Climate Fresk?

In today’s world, climate change is no longer a distant threat – it’s a pressing issue that requires immediate action. But with the overwhelming amount of information and science surrounding climate change, it can be hard to understand the full picture and its impacts.

This is where Climate Fresk comes in.

Climate Fresk is an innovative, interactive workshop that turns complex climate science into an accessible, engaging experience. It is a tool designed to help participants understand the science of climate change in a collaborative, visual, and hands-on way.

Developed in France, the Climate Fresk has rapidly spread across the globe, empowering people to connect the dots between scientific data and real-world implications.

Growing numbers of universities, businesses, community organisations and even friends are hosting these workshops, online or face-to-face, with over 2 million participants to date.

Here in Australia, at the time of writing this article, 6,000 people had already participated in the workshop across five different states, driven by the energy and optimism of our ambassadors and other trained facilitators.

How Does it Work?

The Climate Fresk workshop is based on the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) reports, which are comprehensive documents detailing the science behind climate change.
